![]() Monarch Butterfly The punk appearance of this butterfly is due to the scales bristling up all over its head. Monarch butterflies are the most common of the milkweed butterflies in the United States. Larvae (caterpillars) feed on the leaves of the milkweed (crown flower) before forming a crysalis from which will emerge the adult butterfly. |
