Most living things are made up of one or more cells. These are more cells from our bodies and from plants.

Cell Section This is a TEM of a section of cell. Part of the nucleus shows in the lower right, and the darker submarine shapes are mitochondria which are about 1 micrometer long. The outer membrane has sprouted a filopodium.
