Myelin Evolution NESCent Meeting
September 16-19, 2007
This meeting, sponsored by the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center at Duke University, was focused on the subject "Myelin: A new model for evolutionary innovation." The purpose of the meting was to bring togeterh a diverse group of scientitst to consider the possibilities for utilizing myelin for the purposes indicated in the title. These pages provide an overview of the meeting and its outcomes. The meeting does not purport to have included all the researchers with interest in this area (although we tried!), mostly through ignorance on the part of the principal organizers.
